Routine examinations
A twice-yearly examination is the backbone of preventive dentistry. We check every tooth, the surrounding gum tissue, your bite, and take digital radiographs periodically to see what the eye cannot. Early detection means smaller, simpler treatments — a small filling now is better than a crown later.
During each visit we also screen for oral cancer, check the health of existing restorations, and review any changes since the last appointment.
Fillings and restorations
When decay is present, we remove only the affected tissue and rebuild the tooth with tooth-coloured composite. Modern composites are strong, durable, and virtually invisible. For larger cavities, we may recommend inlays, onlays or crowns — longer-lasting solutions shaped in the laboratory and bonded precisely.
We favour the most conservative option that will last. Dentistry aged well is dentistry that preserved as much natural tooth as possible.
Root canal treatment
When decay or trauma reaches the nerve, root canal treatment saves the tooth. We clean the internal canals, disinfect them thoroughly, and seal them — often in a single visit for front teeth, two visits for molars. With modern rotary instruments, magnification and careful technique, the procedure is routine and predictable. After root canal treatment, the tooth is typically protected with a crown to prevent fracture.
Periodontal therapy
Gum disease is the silent cause of most adult tooth loss. We treat it at every stage — from non-surgical scaling and root planing for early disease, to ongoing maintenance for stabilised cases, to surgical approaches when the situation requires them. The goal is always to halt progression and preserve the supporting bone around each tooth.
