Tooth extractions, including wisdom teeth, performed with modern anaesthesia protocols and structured post-operative follow-up.

Oral Surgery

When extraction is the right treatment

We only recommend removing a tooth when it cannot be saved or when keeping it would compromise the health of other teeth. Common reasons include severe decay below the gum line, vertical fractures, advanced periodontal disease, impacted wisdom teeth that cause recurrent infection, or a tooth that stands in the way of orthodontic treatment.

Before any extraction we discuss replacement options — implant, bridge, denture, or leaving the space — so you can plan ahead.

Wisdom tooth removal

Wisdom teeth often erupt awkwardly, press against neighbouring teeth, trap plaque and cause recurrent inflammation. When they do, removal is usually the simplest solution.

The procedure takes place under local anaesthesia in the clinic. We plan each case with 3D imaging where needed, so we know exactly where the tooth sits in relation to the nerves and sinus. The extraction itself is usually quick, and most patients return to normal activities within a couple of days.

Recovery and follow-up

After any extraction we provide clear written instructions — what to eat, how to keep the area clean, which pain relief to take, which activities to avoid in the first 24 hours. Most discomfort resolves within three to seven days. We are available by phone in the intervening period, and a follow-up appointment is scheduled one week later to confirm healing is on track.
